Normally, you would have confidence is your senior management ... you would normally have confidence that they have the proper education and experience to run and manage a company. Barra and Mott have just shot themselves in the foot ... they will realize it very soon!! This is a clear case of bad judgement or incompetence. They will send out BS emails and video messages to tell everyone how they appreciate everyone's work - One Team-Be Bold-Innovate Now-etc. Its all a big ruse and clever brainwashing ploy. Tell me how Barra and Mott are exemplifying "One Team". They are out for themselves ... the sooner people understand that .. the sooner people will realize that they are not here to help you , they are here to EXPLOIT you.

Ya'll had better get your resumes together, even if you survived. I can guarantee you that IT will get hit again. At least once a year. As long as Mott is there, count on it.

@XvBLhTJ-sds - the best post I have seen so far - so true - incredible the ineptitude of what led to all this / record earnings announced on Halloween with the caveat of job cuts. Drag the whole thing out over the Holidays. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! Hire like drunken sailors for the last few years. The whole reduction handled with utmost secrecy. Nobody knows the criteria for why they are even being let go (performance, age, salary, not a favorite, job importance). Flip a freakin coin. I was an 8th level manager that took the VSP. I was never asked once about my team and how I would rate them or who I would keep. After many years at GM this might rank as the biggest debacle I have seen. So glad I don't have to witness it. What a shame!!!
