Agreed. I believe there are no such things as coincidences... just people who are more devious and can hide their true intent.
Systems engineering, the organization that was put into place because of the ignition switch recall and investigation, was absolutely gutted. The group I was in lost 75%+ on Tuesday (myself among them) including the EGM.
When the cats are away... the mice will play. Good luck to all those who remain.
