Kind of confused on the Release Agreement form we must sign and send back. Form is signed/dated 2/28/19 by GM. Employee must sign and date but it states "Employee has not signed this release prior to the separation date". HR rep said it was best to mail in sooner than later. If I mail the form in Thursday do I date it 2/7/19 or post date it 3/1/19 ????

I would like an answer on this. What is "Separation Date"? Where you sign it says you have not signed before the Separation Date? Is separation date after Feb 28 or is it the day you are walked out?
Thread was hijacked. Not many comments on what the date should be entered as on the release form. If I send the form in now do I date it Today or Feb 28th?
Another suggestion was to send the form back with delivery and signature receipts so you have proof it was received by GM.
WTC Warn Notice, State of Michigan
GM Warren Technical Center - Affected: 1,298 resources -Layoff - City: Warren, County: Macomb -

From the comments here only WTC get the WARN not Pontiac and MPG.
Are MPG employees affected by WARN act? Cant find anything in my file
HR rep was useless. Just reading from the script like the director before.
It does matter what the date is. If salary continuation starts on Feb 28th, I get paid through the first 2 weeks of March (I only get 2 weeks). If it starts April 9th, that's an additional 5 weeks of salary.
It doesn't matter, your severance and other pay will be a lump sum anyway.
There was nothing in my packet about April 9th. Is this Warren-specific? (I was based in Pontiac). Does my severance start Feb 28th?

Your 3 months severance starts on April 9 and ends three months later. Between now and April 9 you are paid under the WARN Act rule
Call the company if you have questions
If your severance is 3 months... when would it begin... end? The April date is confusing....
A short letter in the package I got says your compensation continues through April 9 but your last day as an employee in the payroll system is Feb 28. This is the WARN Act
Same confusion! If anyone finds out please update us. I'll do the same.
I put todays date on mine -- what I'm confused on is wages & benefits to April 9th? HR rep said I would be on payroll until Feb 28th..then my severance package would begin.. not sure which it is Feb 28th or April 9th..
