Everyone should tell their family, friends, etc. to boycott GM and never buy one of their vehicles again. Send them back into bankruptcy with no bailout! This is absurd, making over 10 billion dollars last year and laying people off! The greed has to stop!

Well, you got 30,000 miles out of your Buick.
It's time to buy another one anyway.
Or lease, and get a new car every year. Then you dont have to worry about product failures.
GM products are poor quality at best. One of my former coworkers had all 3 of their relatively new (2016-2018) vehicles breakdown within 3 days of each other. I personally had a Buick which started having engine problems around 30,000 mark so I traded that in for a Chevy which is now also having problems at the 31,000 mark. My family has had Toyota vehicles before and honestly, those were the best made cars we've ever owned. Sorry GM.
The 150K should move to a better company. Then can wait till the remaining husk of GM is bought, but that will be against the best interest of many.
What about the 150k or so employees that still work at GM or are employed because of GM.
Sorry, no Camry for my famry ;)
I want to see FCA shut down...
^^ Likely posted by a competitor hoping to gain market share for their employer.
Boycotting a business for take care of their business is pretty dumb. And certainly does not help the remaining employees there. Purchase the vehicle that makes sense for you. After years of being a Ford loyalist, I got hired by GM and made the switch from a loaded Mercury to a loaded Chevy and was stunned at how much better the Chevy was. If you want to boycott the better product to say "screw you" to GM, you may not be making the best decision. If you simply find a product that is better, then by all means, go get it.
Sorry but no more GM cars for me or my family.
I know I won't be buying GM anymore. I have a leased truck which when it's done I'll get a dodge. Just bought one last month that I may trade in now. Only problem is my classic car. May be tough to part with that one.
It's not likely greed as much as avoiding hostile takeover by Wall Street raiders.
15% is nothing compared to what a hostile takeover would do.
They do treat you well.
They upgraded everyone from a box, to a blue bag on your way out the door.

By not doing anything, you can expect to see history repeat.
GM and the whole industry is the backbone of the country.
Do you think other companies in our industry treat folks better than we do?
Try working for Koreans.
Troll.
GM treats us well.
Layoffs s--- but still, it's an amazing company that takes care of the worker.
Good luck leaving it and going somewhere else, you'll get a wake up call.
I have five families convinced so far, but that was by effort which stemmed from 2009. I honestly cant recall the last time we had a GM in our drive, unless it was from friends of the kids.
Fool me once, only works once.
It should have been buried in 2009. The hole would have been filled by everyone else not GM.
Another troll post
We already are. Why do you think they are laying off?
I recognize folks are angry, but that will just cause more layoffs for the souls who are still there.
Done and done. GM alienates customers for life, and builds advocates against one at a time.
GM is digging its own grave. No boycott needed. Expect GM to go bankrupt in 10 years, max. I have reasons but too long to list here.
Eye for and eye is not the answer, I truly hope they succeed in their goal and the remaining 85% don’t need to go through this again. Who knows... maybe if things take off they will need some people back in a few years.
What about the people who are still working there? I'm not one of them, but do you want to see more working people displaced? You won't be hurting Mary, that's for sure.
Need to be sensitive to the big picture. There is the Mexican economy to consider.
