How do they expect us to function like this for two full weeks??? Is their goal to get more of us to break and quit under pressure? Because I can't think of another reason that would explain GM dragging this out for full two weeks.
This is unnecessarily cruel, even for GM.
It is inhumane and unethical. What if someone had high blood pressure or other Heath issues? What if someone gets heart attack or dies because of this continuous stress for 2 weeks ? Rite now everyone’s moral is down and no one wants to work. I am starting to look for another job.
Mary Barra is gonna get another 10milion in bonus that they gonna save from firing thousands of employees whereas lots of people may not even survive more than 3-4 months.
A lot of extremely smart/able people at GM; but, a lot of mouth runners too that should have been gone 20 years ago . I've seen a lot of contract personal that should not have been let go too.
If you think this is cruel...after 2009 just when you thought you were safe...they started doing layoffs in little pockets to avoid attention from the press after the mass exodus
I feel so bad for you all.
Gm needs 2000 hours to fire 4000 people at half hour each... now you know why they need 2 weeks...
Never underestimate GMs cruelty.
If you survive this layoff and manage to stay at GM, you should start a savings account right now, for the day they do this all over again.
