She’s avoiding me, avoiding eye contact, in general she behaves in a very awkward way. Does she know who will get the axe? It seems to me that something is going on… I am in Warren.

I was a Sr. Manager in WTC-MIC and I was let go, had no clue and neither did anyone else on the team who was as well.
A better question would be: when did they learn about it.
Since they will communicating it, they had to know. the question is have they heard about it 30 min ago, 2 days ago, or they were the ones that put together the list a month ago.
Oh they know. After just going through the process of being walked out, I am certain of it.
Hang in there. She may be uncomfortable due to the stress, or worried about herself. Plus it is SO easy to be paranoid right now. Take it from a very paranoid person on the best of days...most of those fears are unfounded!
She might. I'm 100% sure my manager knew...he told me on Friday that I couldn't go on a schedule business trip this week due to budget reasons then I asked him yesterday if he knew why I had a 1:1 meeting scheduled with the Director, his reply was that he was not versed on Non Manufacturing things yet, nothing else.
She may be feeling same level of anxiety as the rest as maybe she is thinking the same about her fate? I would say try not to worry, but I realize how stupid that sounds. Deep breath, cry if you need to as you are human, and remember that no matter what happens, you will be fine. I'm not saying it will be easy (although I hope it is), but you WILL be fine.
