After all this is done my manager said the people still here will be receiving a 10 to 15 percent raise

I agree that this is not true, but people who don't get laid off will be picking up the extra workload soo more work at the same rate kinda s---s too

I think this poster is trying to mess with you....no one is getting those types of raises. Well, maybe upper management as a reward for implementing such a smooth offboarding process for those impacted. [Said tongue in cheek]

Could be referring to yearly bonuses. Sometimes, they are large. Companies like bonuses because if times are bad, then they don't pay out any.

Your manager is setting you up for the next layoff. If the previous posts are true, they're laying off top performers with high salaries from the raises received from the good performance.

The given reason for layoffs is to conserve cash. If they increase salary spend by 10-15%, that would undo a lot of the "progress" they just made.
