Is the restructuring going to impact college hires ?

NCH with 2.5 years, also let go in Austin. Several of my friends around the same age and time with GM also got laid off.
Good luck everyone, learn what you can while you can.
If your skill set is good, finding a new job won't be super difficult. It won't be easy, but it won't be super hard.
Damn dude... I'm also 2.5 years in. 401k not vesting is terrible uhg I hope I survive this.
2.5 years into program and I got laid off. 5B was my level.
They don't vest 401k if not at 3 years.
If they didn't include new hires, they'd be setting themselves up for an age discrimination class-action lawsuit. These layoffs are engineered to prevent that. They must include new hires in the carnage.
NCH in my group just let to. So far 3 ppl in my group let go. W.................x...................F is this? Anyone know when it ends?
No one will be safe. They will let go people recently hired, with no more remorse than the guy who worked worked there for decades.
Were they TRACK or direct hire employees?
2 college hires who just got hired in the last round got let go too. So it's not safe at all.
Its safe to assume it can impact all of us, however I do believe that NCHs will be less affected as they make considerably less money than other more tenured employees. With that being said anyone and everyone will be affected my this in one way or another. Say for instance you are still employees here after the next two weeks, you might find yourself in another position or on another team as a lot is changing in GM.
Yes. I know of 2 that were let go. They had been in the program for a year and a half.
