Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Severance Payment

Since many are asking in subthreads: GM will provide a two weeks pay for every full year of employment. The amount maxes out at six months, or 26 weeks, therefore if you are 13+ years you've maxed out. You'll also be paid through EOM (Feb) and that does not count against the 26 weeks.

2018 Bonus is included in the severance. As well as the prorated 2019 2 months that you have worked.

Defaulting the personal modifier to 100%

So they're screwing over the people who've worked there more than 13 years. Extra disgusting. Those people already lost their 401Ks when they went bankrupt, now GM is sticking it to them again. Repulsive.

No matter if you quit, fired, or get laid off, vacations days aren't paid out and forfeited per policy. GM seems to be the only doo doo company that doesn't pay out vacation days.

Vacation time is forfeited when you sign the Severance Agreement.

Is that in addition to vacation time for the year? Any provision or mention of things like outstanding expense reports?
