Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Writing is on the wall

The only question is after this week, when the is other shoe going to drop? Would suspect the next round of mass layoffs is this time next year. I'm not sticking around to find out though.

It will be a regular thing from now on. Especially as the workforce becomes filled with more younger employees to whom GM has no long term obligations.

So. Sick. Of. This. Company. Will never buy another GM product again, which is sad, because I've enjoyed some of the products in the past. But seeing how they treat their employees once again (witnessed it in 2008), just, done. Saw the news about investments in Brazil. How about invest in the U.S. Mary Barra? How about take a salary reduction Mary Barra? How about the thick layers of execs take salary cuts, or eliminations all together? Nope, just continue to sh-- on the little person. No more GM products here. Won't buy them, and won't promote them. The rich just keep on getting richer. If people can't see that, then they are completely blind.

In Austin they laid off 10% in 2018. I don't think the layoffs will ever stop.
