When I stopped by at the Sears I used to work at up until about a year ago, I talked with one of my old co-workers still working there and they said that store support was doing a lot of what the QMT used to do, including repairs (unless it was electrical or plumbing, then they would hire a contractor) because apparently all of the QMTs were fired. Supposedly store support is 100% responsible for groundskeeping (mowing). Is this true for all stores/districts of is it just some stores?
Also heard that the janitorial service was reduced to one day a week in my old store and that the managers are responsible for the restrooms. When I asked how vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, trash removal or window cleaning ever got done, it was just for one day a week or if needed, an associate is supposed to do those tasks.
