Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Why do execs wanting to go all electric drive mostly Tahoes, Yukon’s, and Escalades?

If leadership is so passionate about going electric, why don’t they promote these vehicles by replacing the exec company vehicle program with all electric vehicles?

When I worked at Pontiac gps , my commute was very long , every morning , in all season weather I'd see the same damn 1963 Chevy Impala and I mean for years I'd see this young guy driving it. I thought he is wayyyyy smarter than me because 1) No car payment 2) everyone knows GM pumped out a sh-- ton of parts for those cars for repairs , 3) the fuel economy was actually not that bad if properly tuned and maintained , clearly this cat is capable I thought. Point is the car operates ,it's cheap and proven , but most likely you won't be very popular with the female variety. Just a stupid thought I guess.

So their wealthy neighbors might see it in the driveway or at the golf course or at the marina. And buy one.

They have to be seen driving the premium brands. The premium brands command a 15k markup in price, for as low as a 1.5k pricetage. I don't make this up, this is the testimony of the executive directory of GM. The highest office within GM.

Choose to be their pawns all you want, or regain financial capability upon your own. Someone has to be the s---er. It will NEVER be me.

Electric is for the little people. Execs know this. They want to speed down the street tossing babies out of their speeding limos and large luxury SUV's while touting all electric.
