No one I know wants to buy an EV from GM, let alone an autonomous vehicle. What most customers want is a reliable, dependable internal combustion engine vehicle that will last at least a decade. Feminist-executive Mary is trying to change the subject by blaming our woes on poor small vehicle sales and therefore switching to all-electric when the real issue is overall poor reliability. You have seen how the volt and bolt sold.....horribly. Nothing is going to change. Chickens will come home to roost for having mean girls running as CEO and CFO.

EV/Hybrid tax credit ends... time to rearrange everything into a new business model. The accountants and leadership couldn’t do the math to see that coming? They were obviously banking on Democrats taking control of the White House to keep the gravy train rolling. Which explains the persistent leftist corporate messaging. All the talk of our beloved CEO being on the list for VPOTUS. And probably still is. Well... maybe not so much anymore...
I have a Bolt and I am super happy. Needs to be bigger and I need more range. Other than that I am happy - we will get there. No gas stations, no oil changes, no pipes and liquids - love it. Kids love it. Cannot stop the train...
Actually there has long been speculation as to which company will eventually buy Tesla -- with bets on GM or Ford. Musk is not a car builder, he's a DC evangelist. This might be the year. Combine GM battery research & auto building expertise with Tesla design, cachet, and imagination -- could be a winner. Something I read at GM about current battery designs will eventually evolve into 10x storage capacity in the same battery footprint -- It's hard to see but it's all coming.
Whether I am here or not is irrelevant. I hope GM keeps heading down this R & D path.
One of the best posts - to the point and succinct. Volt and bolt are history. Why do they think that they will come up with better electric cars? Merge with Tesla?
