It used to be if you voluntarily separated or retired, you would get a prorated amount. For example, retiring on Mar 1, you would get 1/6 of the amount for that year. May be different if you are fired.
Notice how GM calls this being layed iff rather than fired? Just like they use the word releveling rather than demoted.

Just because it’s in the manual doesn’t mean that’s how it’s going to go down. I strongly suspect that those laid off will get some of the Bonus for 2018.
Stop relying on what’s in the handbook. FYI - I’m a previous layoff from Dell, I received a bonus for the previous year even through the handbook said you weren’t supposed to get one. In other words, mass layoffs sometimes change the rules.
Read the manual, this question has been asked and answered so many times. Just cause you don’t like the answer doesn’t mean you should keep asking it.
If you are separated before March 1st you will not get the bonus, deal with it.
