Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Trojan Horse

My observations over the past few months have concluded that Lowe's Corp has convinced itself that its lower level workforce is the reasoning for its woes. Reality stands that corporation has bad decision making, crony capitalism, and outright stupidity at the top of its organizational hierarchy. We, the bottom of the hierarchy are being punished by scientific management in efforts to save any revenue that the company needs in order to survive it's own self inflicted wounds. There is a silver lining in it all that. They have vested great power in is lower level individuals, in which I see great opportunity. I understand we are all employed but we are not alall treated fairly like the function adults we are. We must respond to this threatening posture by subtle action. In a collective we can send messages back up the hierarchy some what like a Union. Enough that we're not terminated but the response is effectively felt. My skillset will allow us to mount this movement. We need unity at this time in order for these methods to function correctly. Are you tired of being treated as a child by nonsensical overseers who need you to move their product for profits and business operations expenses. Join me and stay tuned.

@Former hrm Would you like the coordinates..

Suddenly close a store and unit would only be giving us leverage. Could you imagine the media frenzy and how the Lowe's brand would be further tarnished in the public's eye.

I have plans for those like you and the stick figure organization that with sustain effort can be disrupted or toppled. It is fine time the ivory castle have a wake up call. It's more than one way to skin a cat. The next few weeks will be gracious to say the least.

Do yourself a favor and get a better job. You win, Lowes loses. Don’t worry about trying to start a union; you’ll just be trading one master for another.

So if the corporate guys close a store to avoid Union then let's do it to all the stores and Lowe's will no longer exist and Marvin can chalk up another failure to his resume

@Former hrm - Fear of a lost job or closed store only works when you have something to lose. At the rate corporate is going, they should be fearing lawsuits and pitchforks.

Do they really think a group of lawyers wouldn't find a way to bring a class action suit against them. That's always been the threat..... "oh gee golly gosh don't say the U word they'll close your store, kick your dog, and salt our fields" They're looking to fire most of us anyway so may as well go out with a bang.

Form a union or anything like it and see how fast your store or unit is closed. It can and will happen.
