What happens to an all electric vehicle that sits outside in s company open lot for 9 hours in -13 weather with -40 windchill? Would you drive one this week or if you lived in northern Michigan? https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwit2K2b9JfgAhUk_IMKHRayCggQzPwBegQIARAC&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.wired.com%2Fstory%2Felectric-cars-cold-weather-tips%2F&psig=AOvVaw3nrnWRvcTukWtUkFepI22H&ust=1549020241783689

1prn - Absolutely I agree , I saw the same thing in the news with other companies it's all the same stuff just a different date in the news paper.
Like others have said, this stuff about EV is all rhetoric to try and make GM look like a tech company. The reality IMO is they are looking at every way to cut costs for the shareholders to get their balance sheet in order for after this brief market cool off is over. A bunch of other companies from several industries are doing the same thing and it all comes down to shareholder value.
Marry aka lib-tard queen. Didn't really see her taking any sort of pay cut did we.
Good thing the. Majority of potential electric car buyers dont live up north..
Orienting the product mix towards what people in the Rust Belt want or need instead of the global or even just the coastal markets can't possibly lead GM astray wait why are you pointing at 2008 on your calendar
Mary was put in there by the libs in gov't that owned GM after bankrupcy, and is marching to their orders to go green, whether its realistic or not. So we can all be dependent on the cars made by gov't motors. And in the process she can enable her desire to fire the white male patriarchy. Good luck with that.
This is all a stock market valuation ploy. GM is desperate for capital to pay for these pet projects.
The internal combustion engine will be around for along time to come , because I believe in hope and have dreams , I love engineering and Star trek , even though it's pure science fiction , I always get excited and have the attitude of What if ! Maybe one day things will be very very different , Maybe GM global propulsion Systems will develop such a technology ? Or would it be more on the government side of the fence , to me all of this is real motivation to push the engineering envelope and be creative as hell . Hope !
Would you bet the company on electric cars if you thought it would get TSLA global warming fanboy banks and hedge funds to pump up GM share price and your personal fortune?
Until charging stations are as common as gas stations and charging time for a flat battery is as fast as filling your gas tank, electric vehicles will always be a niche product.
I wouldn't bet the company on electric cars.
Exactly Communists , Boycott this Rediculous company.
I'll take the engine w explosions and lots of heat as long as the commies in charge of car rules let me buy one
