Customers seem confused by the Craftsman tools now at Lowe’s; they think we are now Sears. In the past week I’ve had customers asking where the snow tires were, where was our outerwear (coats and jackets), and the appliance guys are getting calls for Kenmore appliances. To be fair it’s mostly older people.

Lowes morphed into sears and depot call it sears depot which like Kmart will he out of business
The way things are going, Lowes IS Sears. It will just take another 10-15 years for corporate management to complete the process of running the company into the ground. Closing stores, laying off professional sales, and eliminating LP is a good start. The loses due to shrink now that LP is out of the vast majority of stores are going to be tremendous, that is guaranteed. I've been in LP in my town for a decade. When the professional thieves learn that I'm now at a competitor, they will flock to Lowes knowing it's open season there. And Lowes will deserve every dollar they lose. As long as they aren't stealing from me, I couldn't care less.
Sears used to mean made in America, best you could buy, guaranteed for life by a company that was always going to be around. Now it means cheap China c-ap made using patents stolen from inventors and sold by everyone. Ace Sears, Lowes, Kmart, flea markets and swap meets. C-ap is toxic. But hey we got a good deal.
Sounds like someone trying to be a smart butt.
At least Craftsman will be waranteed.
Sears is Dead.
Soon you will be able to Buy Craftsman at Amazon
