Several years ago RJ cormen was welcomed into the Tucson yard and build a really nice shop and mingled with management. Old head always said this was the start of the mechanical department being cut and downsizing same as SP. Now that seems to be more a reality. Carmen no longer work derailments, traction motors... Word is now they are trying to push limits on air tests. That happens more Carmen are being cut in Tucson. unions didn’t do anything but also welcome in cheap non union workers and increase dues every chance they get. Union representatives, union meeting, what are those... I have been in Tucson for 10+ years and noticed a major decline. Now we have guys loosing there “careers” to cheap labor and company restructuring. Tucson mechanical department doesn’t give a 2nd breath to their guys. We see day in and day out guys putting in 100% only to ask for more and more. Hiding behind equipment waiting to write a FTX someone. Intimidating and endless threats flow freely. Air test... that’s another mess. Defects are brushed off and pushed through. FRA comes and the part is played and as soon as they walk past a car the defect cards are pulled and continues on its way. Carmen caused? Nope comes from the leadership... rant over

This is old school railroading. Everybody wanted old school back. Here it is at its finest. You should always be weary for what you ask for
