its true, some managers do know, but are not supposed to say anything. I am ready for it to be over, this is ridiculous to keep us waiting for so long.

How would your manager know when everyone else's managers are saying they don't know. But enough is enough and if that happens, everyone will be happy (including the ones who will be laid off). It's like you're expecting an earthquake but don't know when it will happen.
