The Shoeshiner’s Dialogue

Sit down children and let me tell you a story about the shoeshiner.

So just a few months ago the shoeshiner in Bld 15 was entrusted with three delicate souls to lead, mentor, and provide professional guidance. Although everyone else knew what the outcome would be, the shoeshiner remained vigilant and determined to come out of the dark cave of protection once more to spread his jam on the world.

Within 30 days one employee escaped with their life as they found somewhere else to call home. The other two were not so lucky, as both of their positions were eliminated today. One of which has served this company for an extended period of time, volunteered on countless occasions to help others, took on more than was ever required or expected. These qualities were rewarded with a below expectation rating on their review. This is strange as this individual performed so well that they were promoted just a few months before they were assigned to the shoeshiner. Yet, only after two months they suddenly became below expectation worthy and today became the last day to be employed by CHK.

Now the shoeshiner must have reports to justify the managers title and so today there were several new faces selected for the shoeshiner to destroy. This small list was hand selected and will be the next ones to leave CHK. So continues the shoeshiner dialogue. 👞 👢 👠

Imagine if two people filed complaints with HR about their boss, and then in the coming weeks both were let go as part of a downsizing and reorganization. What if they were told that someone would be in contact with them, but yet instead of actually investigating the complaint, they were just let go. That sounds just like repercussions for a whistle blower. And then put them in a legal action to either sign their general release and accept their severance or take legal action against the company. I also can’t imavine this occurring to the two employees that worked for the shoeshiner.

Seems like HR would look into something like this. Sure doesn't add up.

Microscope. Ha, now that is funny. Are you sure that the Hubble space telescope is not the right choice here?

There is a small part of me that feels bad for him. But to be fair, you would need a microscope to see that part. He obviously has someone fooled, but the people that have been here longer than a schools semester, know the real shoeshiner. Oh well, these situations have a funny way of working themself out. Until then I am going to need a giant tub of popcorn and some 3d glasses to watch this circus show we got now.
