@XmRaXFP-1xzo A coworker once advised me, "Yes, management here is bad and there is a lot of corporate politics, but the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence. Every big company is the same." And from what ?I've heard, there is negative stuff about other IT companies that we don't have to deal with at GM. So, I understand where you are coming from. I do enjoy my coworkers as well.
Look, anyone who believes if they are among the chosen and will get Team GM are just deluding themselves. What do you thing the savings would be if they didn't pay the bonus to 6000 employees? Just stopping kidding yourself folks, they are under NO legal requirement to pay it, it is at GM's discretion.
YOU'RE ENTITLED TO NOTHING ! 🖕 "Especially millennials"
I'm staying because I like my coworkers and take pride in doing good work. The job is frustrating at times.. mostly because management is so consumed with covering their own a-- instead of actually listening to and understanding their employees pain points and suggestions. So much finger pointing.. yes I know it is ironic that I am pointing fingers at management, I have just seen too many decisions that are plain nonsense to anyone down in the weeds doing the work. Oh well. I hope the higher ups who actually care about creating an environment where people can thrive are reading this site.. all the common complains about management has to get through somehow.
YOU'RE @XmRaXFP-1iqd
Your entitled to nothing.
The benefits handbook can be amended at any time. It says so in plain English not legalese. That's the way is always has been in GM. Even benefits promised to you after you retire can be changed / revoked. You're just a pig at a trough if you think there is a bonus for you at the end of the day on this one. Bonuses came after the IPO. Old GMers understand that. It was a fixed percentage in the beginning then weaponized by management. New hires don't get it aside from me me me. Your focus should be on health care. COBRA is not affordable at 2k a month. A catastrophic accident will wipe you out for a lifetime.
why would they delaying the bonus?
the 2019 benefits guide begs to differ, it states Feb 28th @XmRaXFP-1cae
+1
April 1st??? That’ts GM perfect! “Here’s your bonus. APRIL FOOLS!!”
My manager told me that as well. Is the team GM payout really on April 1st?
You get no bonus , love Mary 😘
Our manager told us that bonus and raises will come out April 1st instead of March
