We have already started losing people who are tired of waiting for GM to decide their fate and are heading for greener pastures on their own. I'd lie if I said I was not considering it myself. I just loath the idea of possibly missing out on severance.
How does attrition look on your team?
My team lost 4, 5 developers already. I am QA Lead and I will get final interview today. Since I have 5 years of service and a top performer, I want to wait for severance package and bonus. My boss told us that we will get bonus even though we get laid off. Also, he told us that the layoff will be done by HR. Direct Managers do not know anything because their names could be on the list too. So much drama.
I’m leaving once I get my bonus. I haven’t been at GM long but from my experience management is totally useless, can’t make decisions without a million approvals, and ask questions just so they can be heard I front of the rest of the useless management.
