And I don't just mean because of the stress, uncertainty, and anxiety that we’re going through. In this way, with keeping everything ion the dark they are making it a lot harder on the employees. A lot of folks based their life around GM plants and believe me, a decision to relocate, abandon your neighbors, your friends, sell your house is a hard life decision. If they announced people would have the opportunity to rethink what do do, either to apply at other GM locations, at other companies or seek their fortunes in a different business. This way everyone is hoping for the best and however much we try to think realistic layoffs always come as a surprise and we are left with those same tough decisions, only without a job that pays the bills.

@XlzuZrB-1xva 25% of executive level was ONLY around 250. So it doesn't count for much.
they gave a timeline 1st quarter 2019
Is the number of executives who are being separated (25% of their ranks) included in the 8000? If yes, how many is that?
Would it have made it better to have received a phone call from HR on Saturday telling you not to come into work Monday? This is what the contractors get.

Others, they just disappeared ending Friday. Nothing Monday. F**ked a lot of us over losing a few key players.
They did. 8000 salaried workers less the 2300 voluntary takers. It's going to be a white collar m---acre. Blood in the streets scenario. History repeats itself. Look at a decade ago.
Yes, they could offer the severance as voluntary or involuntary. I guess they don't see us as professionals.
