So our Chief Information Officer/Chief Strategy Officer is retiring at the end of March. Odd considering Lance made this new "Strategy" position and appointed Lynden to it while we still have not hired a new CIO. Does this mean we need to hire two new executives? IT getting completely cut before Lynden leaves??? This is almost too shady to comprehend. We need more details.

I envy Lynden. 59 years old, money to easily enjoy a long retirement, and plenty left over for kids and philanthropy. I’d be out of here too. Too many lakes, mountains, beaches, and oceans to be explored. Stop this grind and get to it....
Lynden was very protective of IT and certain programs and efforts in particular. I suspect that getting him out of the way makes it a lot easier to do some dramatic slashing and burning.
Yeah, like Cameron Scott's transitional position.
This isn’t a surprise at all. Fully expected. It isn’t unusual to move an exec into a transitional position before leaving. It bumps their salary, helps search for replacements, keeps them available, etc.
Probably lost the sword fight with Jim Vena...
REALLY!!!!!! How long have we been discussing the BORDER ISSUE.
H1B is a work visa offered to those workers from outside the US. These are usually contract employees for a duration of several years.
Sorry to ask....what is a H1B employee??
This is the man who said there wasn't any STEM talent coming out of the college's in the United States and they needed to bring in H1B workers to fill positions because of their superior knowledge.
Executive mgmt has been making poor decisions for the past 2+ years. Remember the whole title change fiasco?
All of this makes you wonder if there are signs of poor decisions being made? Jumping ship within 9 months of getting a super special position. Someone isn't playing nice so I am taking my toys and leaving!
CorrUPt can’t be spelled without UP!
Take yer Ases to Houston. Nebraska is a better place without them Prikes.
Hi kids, and that was how the great IT exodus began at UP. It took several failed outsourcing attempts and ultimately the move of the corporate office to Houston before they finally began to rebuild the department.
Very few know the true depth of "Shaddy" going on at this company right now. Unbelievable!
