Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

New attendance policy question.

It’s no surprise that a new attendance policy is coming. I was under the impression that we would all be getting a clean slate like the last attendance change. I’ve however recently heard a rumor of our current points being divided by half for the new system. So if somebody for example were at 8.5 points, they’d be cut down to 4.5 points. Has anyone heard about this?

Also, I just wanted to point out I’m not trying to fear monger, but am legitimately wondering if anyone has any info on this.

I would love it if that were the case considering that I’ve averaged about 4 call ins per day this past week- because people are basically trying to “use up” their points before the rumored new system comes into place. It’s bizarre that grow adults would play with their livelihood like that. I have been saying over and over that this is just a rumor until we get official guidance. Now a lot of my team has 7 and 8 points at this moment.

Thank you for explaining what customer care means.

It says “Walmart Inc or one of its subsidiaries” to make clear that it also applies to Walmart-owned companies with other names, like Jet.com. Then it says “eCommerce Customer Care business units,” in bold, to make clear that it only applies to people who work in those sections of Walmart-owned companies. The part in bold is the most important part of the sentence; that’s why it’s in bold.

“Customer Care” is the name corporate uses for online customer service employees. The fact that it’s in the title of the policy is a clue that that’s who it applies to. If the policy was named, “Personnel Coordinator Reliability,” you would take that as a sign that it applies to personnel coordinators and no one else, right?

The Customer Care Reliability policy on the WIRE is not for store associates. It’s for people who work in eCommerce Customer Care business units, doing customer service for Walmart-owned websites. That would be why “Customer Care” is in the name of the policy, and why the phrase “Customer Care business units” is used twice in the first two paragraphs, once in bold.

No one has any concrete evidence of changes to the store attendance policy; it’s all just rumors. I tend to believe a change is coming, but I also wouldn’t be shocked if it doesn’t happen. Most of the rumors say points will be wiped clean before the change, but I’ve also seen claims that people who are over the new threshold will have their points reduced so they’re just under it, while people under the new threshold will stay where they are.

No, the upcoming policy figures hours missed and not auto terminated, no point system. Coaching process used. People crack me up trying to cause hysteria on her. Look it up customer care liability, it's on the wire
