Sounds right on. They shipped now hiring truck driver signs for the stores to put up a few months ago. I had never seen that before.

1dxs,

I had heard the talk about the cab sharing. Long term drivers won’t willingly work that way. Many of them would go somewhere else and work for less money not to have to put up with that bull stuff.

Hope the savings was worth it.

How odd that Walmart announces this like the company is growing its because they messed over our entire fleet of drivers and most quit. I’m sure the news spread through drivers and now what used to be the core of Walmart died and good luck getting any good ones to join. Can’t take cate of stores and keep shelves stocked if the product can’t get there. One VP had this brilliant idea yet Walmart still doesn’t learn from their mistakes. If anyone needs a job I’d recommend it for short term but move on quickly as they will control you get in your mind make you believe you aren’t good for anything and those you out like trash.

I work at a DC and work in the yard moving trailers. The ONLY reason Walmart is looking to hire more drivers is because they completely effed themselve screwing with the drivers they HAD! Between screwing with their schedules, in cab cameras, sharing trucks and a bunch of other BS most of their drivers quit. They also lowered their pay scale making it impossible to recruit. We literally lost half our drivers in about 6 months. They are desperately trying to get back to the fleet they once had and it's their own STUPID fault. This company is so poorly run it's unbelievable, zero common sense. Just keep screwing people till all the good ones quit, and the few remaining don't give a sh-- about your greedy company and will do the bare minimum. Who cares as long as the shareholders get their extra nickel... 👍
