VSS is the layoff package, its much higher in other countries than US. Most employees get over a year pay in Malaysia, same in Singapore. PNG is Penang factory in Malaysia

above 10 years - 1.5 month paid...
maximum 20 month capped
i believe it might come to hit US too. i heard there was some IT got notified on last week about their last day. they do get package thou. 1yr service = 1 wk paid. i also heard there would be an announcement on the re-org on thursday. but not sure what the impact is.
