Yet another rumor I heard in conjunction with the personnel eliminations as well. I wouldn't be surprised. In our area, claims associates make 17.40 / hour minimum as part of a new pay structure, while some DMs are making 16.15 /hour.

So no more claims supervisors? And how many people total including dsd?
This is not a rumor. Claims was talked to in my store already and they were finding other positions for them.
Also, claims was NOT eliminated at Sam's club! The receiving office associate, receiving team lead, and claims position was made into 2 positions instead of 3. Claims is still there!
I'm a vendor so I'm third party. I can't see having a third party taking care of y'alls claims. Some of my claims managers are the best most of my stores have to offer.
They tested this in northern cali a few years ago and it was a complete cluster f*ck with hazwaste retention and things being thrown away without being accounted for. I dont see claims going away completely anytime soon. I could be wrong. Walmart tends to choose the stupid route more often than not.
Claims has been gone in Sam's Club for a month or more
Lots of pilots being tested in multiple areas of the store. Service desk doing some claims is one of them. People greeters processing returns is one as well.
But no plans to eliminate claims associate currently.
This has already been reported. Dms will do cvp and damaged. Service desk will do returns that are picked up by a 3rd party. Claims will do anything else, reclamations and the deleted bins and clearance isle. This isn't new news and is being tested now.
