Now that NJ is going to increase their minimum wage by a $1 each year (it's going to $10 in July from $8.85) then $11 next year and so on until it reaches $15 in 2024, how will this affect the company and their never increasing a wage during the year even by their usual measly 25 cents? Maybe a few people to go to make up for this extra hourly increase for part timers?

They will get rid of people as they get raises- it's the B&N way!
You make too much, they make you hate the job so much you quit or they find ways to write you up until they can fire you.

Multiple states are raising their minimum wage this year. My guess is that it will definitely affect payroll and hours for most stores. This company is pinching every penny.
NYC is at $15/hour now. I wonder how this will affect the bottom line.
