Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Workload

I'm curious to know how everyones workload is. I haven't had anything to do this year besides mandatory training. No new projects have been allocated, manager said requirements are still being hashed out. Thinking I'll be on the chopping block next week.

I'm swamped. Or of projects are still running like they'll hit dates and there won't be any odd freezes.

Everything is at a standstill. Told to try and keep busy until the layoffs happen.

My group is ‘busier than jumper cables at a dirt track’.

Seriously, we don’t have enough people for all of the work coming in.

I'm on a project that is on the last sprint for this phase. Haven't been talking about who will do what in the first sprint of the next phase, no meetings to point or talk about what order things will be done in. A few small User Stories have slipped into this sprint, but since it ends this Friday, its mostly just been bugs.

So it's been slow? But it was supposed to be slow. But we also are not looking at what's next as a group. And besides a few people we all seem to be working slower.
