Hey guys, BigP here. Lets give a big thumbs up to the work life balance we have in beautiful Malta and surrounding areas. Take a stoll down to historic Malta and view the old world sites. Or visit the wonderful shopping plazas of downtown Clifton Park. Cant knock what we got here. Its the best.

@Whoopin

Hahaha....good one. CTO is a genius who kept scaring the competition by blah..blah..ing at all forums of industry....he should be made CEO and should take you in his SLT for figuring out his strategy. Brilliant pivotist. Haha..

You realize that to have equity in something, it actually has to have value, right? Every director and up got options on promises of the future a couple years ago not long after the band 8 and 9 long term incentive plans were terminated unpaid. Unfortunately the options are only worth anything if someone pays more than $20B for a company that has never made a profit in a decade of existence and has given up on 20,14 and 7 development. Don't hold your breath or career on that payday. Sanjay told everyone on the call that GF would be a $30-35 billion company by now 😂.

not much pressure, good people working around, one of the best manager to work with giving us liberty to try out stuff instead of pushing down orders. The only reason I may leave if we don’t get equity in the company soon (1-2yrs)

Hey, we're already out here in SUNNY San Diego. Meeting doesn't start until next week but we are doing some "market research" (yeah, that's it) before then. Enjoy the frozen tundra guys, I'll try not to get too tan out here and make the "big man" jealous.

I hope you guys are recharged from the holiday feasting because we're going to be turning up the crank in 2019. 12FDX is on a path to MA$$IVE $UCCE$$ when the big ramp hits. We are moving the ball down the field 2nm at a time....touchdown!!!

BigP, you already outed yourself, what's the point? Kindergarten teacher let you guys play with the iPad for too long?

Seriously, it's like watching a suspense movie for a 2nd time, you already know what happened, so it just loses its appeal.

For those that remain at GF and enjoy trolling,

You’ll find yourself jobless eventually. Global is below the headcount for tax incentives and this is the reason they’re converting contractors regardless of experience or qualification, they’re Bussing in new college graduates to fill roles that didn’t exist. Without the tax incentives from government, expect a huge layoff. Those that truly believe in globalfoundries should try and get 100 or so folks to join ASAP. March is the deadline, and GF can’t maintain headcount above 2400 with a end of year 23% attrition rate. Best of luck.

I hope to get an opportunity to work on the CTOs Wikipedia page. He is a world class technology and business visionary who shrewdly pressured tsmc into a panic making 7nm 2 years ahead of GF when he actually knew all along there weren't really any customers for 7nm. This charade was played beautifully by GF pretending to go all in on 7nm for years. Lots of press, transferring and hiring employees and even buying euv tools for fab8. And look who is laughing now. tsmc is down big with apple demand pullback and all GF lost was $300M on 2 euv tools and some severance packages. That is a friggin brilliant pivot that nobody else in the industry saw coming! And people question why all the execs are still there after the layoffs?!?! Because they are brilliant strategists. Tsmc should be worried that their stock doesn't keep falling and GF buys them and teaches them a lesson in how to dominate. As tsmcs profits decline and they realize the folly of 7nm, Fab8 will be just fine rolling along with legacy tech and pivot profits! (yes, before interest, depreciation and amortization of all the money put into building and outfitting Malta but that is behind us now so it doesn't really count)

Being at the cutting edge is too much pressure. I prefer to settle for second best.
