It appears the organization is being gutted. Many dedicated and long serving employees are being let go in a rather inhumane manner.
Employees were told nothing, with some being met at the door and told to leave. These are folks with coworkers who care deeply for one another and they aren't even able to say goodbye or collect their belongings themselves. With no information or explanation, layoffs are taking place daily throughout the week.
Those who are left will apparently be getting some sort of collective message on Friday. I can't image going to work each day wondering if your team will be next. This is a cruel way to institute massive organizational change and restructuring.
I am being quite serious when I say hope their mental health benefits are still good. Both existing and former employees will need them. There are better ways to do this kind of thing.
