Severance payouts: Has anyone heard of the home office mailing buy out packets to your home address? We just had an associate put in her 2 weeks notice and she stated she accepted their offer. She's a 19 year associate and not in a supervisor. Could be a bunch of bologna. Just wondering. Can't ask her because she's already left the company.

Find a job before you leave. Severance package is not that big and won’t last that long. Take a look at your benefits at Walmart has given you and think twice about it.

Yes, they are mailed to your home. I got mine last year after thirty years with the company. There is life after Walmart but I would find a job now before I left if I were you. That way you can bank your severance.

Severance pay is not the same as “buy out” pay if by “buy out” you mean WM offering people money to leave the company, severance packages are nothing new to WM, “ buying out” associates I’ve never seen with WM at store level.
