How is the department supervisor positions working in stores? My store is a Cluster f**k. All the new DS’s including 3 outside hires got full master keys all the former service managers lost keys but kept alarm codes. Still being forced to count money, receive delivery returns, it s---s cause I have to beg a head cashier or our RTM clerk to unlock stuff for me. ASMs still don’t want to do stuff in the Monday meeting deliveries called with MRs I was told go go let them in and process them I replied I didn’t have keys and my ASM threw his keys at me and told me to go do it. All my fellow DS’s are responsible for answering complaints at the desk and since we are “floor supervisors” our asms can sit in the office with their phones off. I went into the office today to print my count sheet and was written up for being in the managers office as my SM said “managers in the managers office floor supervisors on the floor” I get screamed at for not hitting sales goals and I cannot possibly get the work done in 5 departments. A few new people quit so another DS and I are responsible for 5 departments each. I wrote and email to BS@lowes.com that fell on deaf ears and then my SM found out and did everything he could to me without physically assaulting me. This company is so horrible. Oh how I can’t wait to find something else.

I was told to go and open our back gate and was tossed the keys by an ASM. I tossed them back and told him that it is not my job, his keys were not suppose to be given to anyone else as per the security training I have received annually. Shut him down and nothing for him to say but take his butt hurt self to do his job.
I was an ASM once and I can tell you that this isn’t how it’s supposed to work. It used to be that there had to be a senior manager in the building at all times but over the last couple of years they’ve gotten extremely lazy. The Service/Support managers took on a lot of the responsibilities that the ASMs used to have. Now the ASMs don’t want to go back to the way it was. Department Supervisors are supposed to be running their departments, not doing MOD tasks. So effectively the department supervisors are still doing the tasks of service managers, they just aren’t being called service managers. And it’s all because the senior managers are lazy mo--ns. The department supervisors aren’t supposed to have keys, codes, doing schedules, opening or closing the stores. They aren’t supposed to be doing the cash office or dealing with CCICs. Yet they are. This is BS and the store managers know it. But this is Lowe’s, so nothing is going to happen the way it’s supposed to happen. Thats Lowe’s folks.
No- is that a cruel joke? Reaching out beyond store sound like a good idea? Hmmmmm.
It sounds like your store is not running the new program correctly, have you reached out to your AHRBP?
