Bingo ! You are so right. You would think management would have the insight, skills and talent to plan ahead. But no, they have no skin in the game. They continue to mismanage at the expense of the plebes. HAL Academy is all dress up fun and games, but the rest of us are hurtin’.
I worked for Halliburton for 3 months. I would have thought the elected "leadership" would have forseen any abnormalities within the market before taking in the financial responsibility of hiring on additional employees. However, after just 3 months of working in logistics, I was told due to changes in the market, they would be laying me off. Thanks .....
it is NOT about the quality - it is not about safety - it is all about the bottom line $$$$$ - don’t forget that
One extra shot for the below rant
The company is pretty much eliminating support functions in the field operations. The workers who are left will probably see newcomers join crews. As the workforce turns over, oilfield trash attitudes we worked so hard to eliminate will creep back up.
Without the support, guidance, and accountability the field employees need, at the local level, service quality will tank, injuries will skyrocket, and customers will flee the company that once owned the market in North America Land.
Mark Richard is running the company into the ground. Happy Century Anniversary, Uncle Earl!

so sad, so pathetic, so low energy
Cutting hours to 48 hours in Oklahoma but no layoffs. Putting in applications everywhere to get out while I can. No future here.
Maybe they'll create a skit about this in the next. HAL Academy bragging 'We are the Execution Company.'
