I know they are trying to get us to buy the story about efficiency and the use of new technologies to produce better results, but who really believes that. Plant closures, merging of regions, layoffs for me only means giving up on certain business units and their resources (both human and infrastructural), which could have been organized to be more effective and therefor be more profitable, with smarter management of course. So cutting down people and entire parts of the company is just proof of weakness demonstrated by the management. If they found it easier to eliminate some segments of the company than to make them work, whos to say they won’t say oe day: its easier to shut the company down than make it profitable.

The company refuses to add any headcount when it comes to automation. . They were actually looking for recount reduction without any hiring in their maintenance or engineering staff to support the new technology. Source: I was a manager on a number of their automation projects

a company that can sell months old stored orange juice as " OJ fresh from the tree " can sell any story
in a year of big reorganisation , bonus is mostly skyrocketing at the end of the year
I wonder how bonuses and pay increases are going to shake out.
