I was part of a large Acosta Sales group conference call on January 25, 2019 and we were all told our positions were being eliminated, effective February 15, 2019 and last official working day was to be February 13, 2019. The client ended the contract and they suggested we go on the Acosta website to look for any open positions available. Nothing is available where I live. We were told we’d receive any available accrued PTO, paid for the two last days in our final work week 2/14 -2/15 and receive an additional two weeks severence. They had a VP on the call and a person from HR.
I’ve tried to reach HR since then and it’s nearly impossible. Horrible communication before this and horrible now. HR said on our conference call, as did Chris Liddell, that if we had any questions, we could call the HR person and the number was given. What a complete waste of time. No answers.
I understand why we were let go, they lost a major account. I’m surprised they haven’t lost more yet due to their business practices. Wonder when those former clients will go after Acosta for their contract breeches. We all had to put up and shut up. Terrible. Things got so much worse over the last few years. Our team thought things would get better. Guess we were wrong.
Hello unemployment.
