They'll never be able to sell the place, just remember, they have the Schenectady version of the Love Canal out back!
$2mil for GE to bring in Aviation into the plant? Or I will bet my post 2011 paycheck that the $2 million is to shrink the bar shop and down size us union personnel.
Not fixing the roof, they are going to down size the bar shop on the leaky side of the building. Then they will have more restructuring of union personnel in the bar shop. I’m glad I voted no for the $1 job code change because I won’t make the next wave of job cuts.
Over $2 million but not almost 3?!?! Then its just a little over 2. To put it into perspective, it's equal to at least 25 overpaid D rate machinists!! It doesn't get you much that's good after being spent!!
are they going to fix all the roof leaks with that money?
Give it a rest
$2mil for upgrades or a facelift before it goes on sale on market place. But it looks like they are shrinking the bar shop and packing 10lbs of dookie in a 2lbs bag. So more layoffs are on the way to make up for that $2mil. Time will tell but summer time there will be More Layoffs. I wonder if the $2mil is to cover the sell out money? Time will tell when the next round is after they shrink the bar shop.
Seems like a lot of square footage for a single flow bar shop. Schenectady was killed decades ago, that group of leaders said the same thing. Think about it.
Large corporations won’t be pushed around by its unions. They will simply pack up and move.
The money is for the re-layout of the bar shop, single piece flow. The bar shop alone will allow the site to never close down completely. Many jobs may go over the years to come, but there will always be that little piece that keeps on ticking.
Is R!'ce the rat giving up a years pay for this?
2 million, hahahahaha. That won’t go far.
So we're getting a new roof? $2million really won't go that far. Perhaps it's time for some Office Space makeovers??
Just like your home, you fix it up before you sell it.
Don't trust anything on the site, especially related to 301...
Well said by someone at Onion Hall. Guess work is there after all??
