Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

This is just the tip of the iceberg.

"I'm so angry at the leadership here. TT needs to GO! So many bad decisions that will impact the livelihood of hundreds, if not thousands, of employees."

Like with what happened at MCI Worldcom, Enron and even Bernie Ebbers - when people see everything they worked for crash all around them, their loyalty to the company will be gone and they will start talking to anyone who will listen. And in this media-hungry age, it won't be long before some 'insiders' spill the beans on what went on behind closed doors in Little Rock.

Angry workers and angry shareholders will start lawsuits from this. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Couldn’t agree more. OP is @XJe4rWH-uul

You didn't know? Uncle Tony is Bernie Ebber's long lost son.

The Board exercises no real oversight - and part of the reason for this failure is because TT does not want nor listen to anyone who disagrees or raises any issues with his decisions. Anyone who had a mind of his/her own was quickly dispatched and replaced with a TT follower. He exercises complete control, including I am assuming over what legal position was taken in the lawsuit. Karma does eventually get you, but sometimes it takes a long time.

Yeah, look over here. This guy is getting a free lunch. Don't look behind the curtain at the rich folks who got the big tax breaks.

I lived through WorldCom. I saw it coming with windstream and left. I wasn't going to wait till all of my 401k was gone. I was sick of his con game. Stream is a joke. I'm on LinkedIn, it's the same people who like all the b.s. they put out there. I'm very angry for the people still there. I have many good friends there. The man belongs in jail but people like that never seem to be held accountable. Ebbers got like one year in prison while others lost everything they had

Socialism is very scary. More jobs and middleclass are created in capitalism. Its not the greatest model but far better than someone else taking most my money and giving it to lazy bums. Dont blame pissy leadership on capitalism. It works for alot of people, we just got ignorant captains.

TT is a con man. Many con man skills are useful as a ceo but there is a difference between a true ceo And a con man. He is not to be trusted. Fool me once shame on you, fool me a hundred times, well, you know how the saying goes. Maya Angelou once said when a person goes to great lengths to show you who they are, believe them. He has shown you he is a con man, a lair, a grifter, shady in so many areas, no remorse or conscience. Believe what he has shown you he is and definitely not the words he says when he is backed into a corner and his lies are becoming more and more obvious.

You have to post something positive on stream or they ban you or delete your comments. TT runs a dictatorship and all must agree with him or be banished from his kingdom. Even though his kingdom is in ruins, he still wants absolute agreement from his peons. How about you dont take a bonus and give me a bonus to stay and clean up after the sh--show you made of this company? Anyone else belive managers were told to post something positive?

It's kinda funny when I was reading some of the comments in Stream in regards to the video TT put out regarding the outcome. Everyone seem to kiss a-- to TT and that how hard the management team are working and that they have trust and confident in the team. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!

This is just capitalism in action. The C-suite always fails upwards while everyone else is left to the wolves. Just look at how much Eddie Lampert was paid to stay on during the Sears bankruptcy filing. Think about Windstream and how it rewarded failure over and over again for the top executives the next time someone tries to tell you socialism is scary.

I think TT and the board owe shareholders an explanation for his compensation raises bonuses and continued tenure. His performance tanked and the company lost almost two billion dollars in shareholder value and he was kept on, and worse, rewarded. He will go down as one of the more infamous ceos foe his incompetency and monumental failure. The board did nothing to correct the ship and rewarded this guy during this time. employees and analysts qUestioned this arraignment for years yet nothing was done. It doesn’t add up.
