How do they justify the company being on the verge of filing bk and then giving him a contract extention when I dont get a raise and getting a promotion with out screwing someone is a joke? Anyone with any senority is passed over for promotions because we know too much about the dirty dealings and we dont kiss a-- not because we cant do the job. So sickening to watch those that have no morals get promoted time after time. If there were any jobs worth a sh-- close to me I would leave.

You have to understand why the board of directors extended his contract. Both parties are complicit regarding company's financial irregularities. So best to pay to keep all accomplices silent than risk any squealing. Tony loves coming to work everyday at Windstream (as stated on Town Hall meeting). Obviously because that means he is not going to jail that day!

One wrote that he cares is bull. He makes one hundred times the average worker. He gets bonuses plus better stock options. His health benefits are different, perhaps one hundred percent covered as executive benefits in healthcare are different than the average worker. He has been responsible for the layoffs of hundreds for his travel benefits. He is set for life. If he cared about us, there would be higher wages, better health benefits, and this lawsuit would have never even happened because he would have listened to the workers and not the board, or what he thought was right. He does not care about the workers, just himself.

Everyone will be expected to tighten their belts and save, save, save. Cut as much cost as possible. Yet those at the top continue to take what we will be expected to “save the company” and put it right in their pockets.

TT talked about what makes a great leader in his town hall. A great leader, after telling everyone no more raises unless you get promoted, would turn this down, at least until we get through this mess.

But I seriously doubt we’ll see a video on Stream were TT tells us he is going to lead by example and due to the dire circumstances, will not be taking the increase.

The board is really to blame on this one. I home someone hires an assassin to take care of them. Do you remember that time you came home fro school with your report card and had all T's and got rewarded? Well that is what Tony did! We rewarded him by giving him a full scholarship to Harvard.

Apparently the mantra of the board is the worse you preform the more you are rewarded.

LOL...Jeff Gardner inherited the debt when they spun off landline, merged with Valor, long before TT took over the reigns. BS excuse. Problem is he wants the business to be something it's not...coupled with having a very poor legal team and questionable judgement with regard to the G'man brother's and the shady setup they created. I’m not making excuses but do any of you know how much debt he inherited? The recent problems are nothing more than TT trying to keep the doors open by finding creative ways to push out debt.

Most of you would be jobless if he didn’t create the REIT.

However I can’t defend the Earthlonk deal.

And here's what this D-head gets if canned for being an A-hole:

(i) annual base salary through the date of termination and any other vested benefits, in each case to the extent not previously paid;

(ii) a pro-rated amount of his target annual incentive compensation for the year of termination;

(iii) three times the sum of his base salary and target annual incentive compensation (in each case, as in effect immediately prior to the Change in

Control or, if higher, on the date of termination);

(iv) a cash equivalent for three years of health care premiums; and

(v) outplacement services with a value of no more than $50,000.

Hey, just remember its up to us to ensure our customers are taken care of, that's whats important right now, other than his salary of course. Wonder what the other exec's are getting?
