I actually dont work for PepsiCo I am with another company on this board that just laid off 4200 people, many of them in IT. I wanted to ask if your IT group will be affected and in what metro areas they may be. I am trying to put together as tracker with IT layoffs and this would help. Thanks in advance...

IT layoffs are very much impacted, they were last year as well. IT goes through many many restructurings, and often as people leave of their own accord, they do not backfill with FTEs. NYC, Chicago, Plano.
It was never really a sought-after place for IT talent though, we barely get any campus hires, it's been quite stagnant for a while and the technology is antiquated. The company doesn't value it, offshoring was inevitable and has been a 5+ year journey since the bottlers were acquired.
