MK’s email said no reorg ... at this time. How can R&D stay the same if the business is food/bev. This is a joke. It’s obvious change is coming and it’s just looming on top of us. You have whole R&D teams that only supported nutrition and gng-type work and you are saying nothing is changing??

What's left of the R&D organization is full of lackluster people who can't hack it anywhere else. Millions are spent on projects with zero impact and management is the worst of the bunch. Tons of clueless diversity hires and slobs who I'm surprised haven't dropped dead. Gut it all and start over.
Many (but not all) of the R&D people that remained were the bootlicking sycophants.
Figures as they're dumb enough to get paid 75% of the market rate!
After last years bomb, all of the R&D s--- ups that remained should all be let go. All 3 R&D sites lost their best people last go-around and it is showing in the lack of innovation.
The most obvious needed change is MK himself but we’re probably stuck with him for the rest of the year. Looking back, it’s hard not to deem his tenure as a failure. Our reorgs have been poorly designed and even more poorly aligned and executed. We’ve abandoned the core & making good tasting products in lieu of hitting arbitrary PWP goals and trying to please our former CEO. Finally, we’ve wasted tons of money on speculative research without thought as to whether it would result in a new or better product.
It’s sad to think of how PepsiCo boosted its R&D investment by MILLIONS of dollar, robbing other parts of the company but with nothing to show for it.
There's plenty of old c-ap in R&D that needs to be cleaned.
Didn't they demolish R&D last year? What's left to cut at this point?
Absolutely right. R&D seems to be at odds with business. Same thing happened when R&D jumped the gun and reorganized into categories when the business didn’t go through with category model. History repeats itself.
Surely there will be big impact on teams supporting nutrition. It’s a matter of time now.
