GM is investing $36 million into the Lansing Delta Township plant

Just came across this article and I haven’t seen anyone posting it here so here’s the link. Not good news in terms of creating jobs though, as the CEO stated that GM products need to sell in order to create jobs. So was that the brilliant plan, shutting down production and then expecting that GM products should sell

"“We have a very defined plan of what we are doing, but it’s going to take a little while before we release it because we want to make sure that what we are working on is going to be first in market and allows us to win customer,” she said.

The investment does not come with a job creation guarantee, because Barra said to create more jobs that GM products need to sell."

The game plan is to win customers of course, because GM is having a heck of a time retaining repeat customers. The slow trickle away from GM makes them have to radically change things up, and we can only guess how many employee customers were lost during this downsizing. This is all accumulative.

I think what we are witnessing, is the start of the end for this behemoth. Significant risk at play, for rewards in which almost no one wants. EVs and AVs are a pass, says everyone.
