Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Update on LP Bouns

After recieving my second severance package from Lowe’s, I emailed severancepay@lowes.com asking if I’d receive my bonus and if I could email my signed severance paperwork to avoid paying postage again. They responded this morning.

  1. Yes, you will get your bonus if you qualified. They will be paid at the normal time which is in March.

  2. I don’t know if it applies to everyone but I was told I can sign, scan and email my severance paperwork to the same email address then mail the originals. This will speed up the process but also allow me to avoid paying crazy shipping costs to get my money faster.

Yeah, this whole thing s---s and everyone is p-ss-d about losing money but are we surprised? At this point, sign the paperwork, send it back, get your money and move on. If anyone plans to speak with a lawyer, that’s your right but don’t get yourself caught up in a money making scheme for Saul Goodman. A legal fight will drag out for years and you’ll never see anything. I went through similar with KMart years ago when they closed stores. I’ll admit, other than the pay issue, I’ve been treated fairly and everything has gone smooth throughout this process. I know not everyone has and I understand your anger but take some time and really think about what you do next for acting on emotions. I wish all of you the best of luck.

"Nice Anti-semitic comment ..... "

I don't believe that was meant to be an "anti-Semitic comment". Saul Goodman is a character from the television show "Breaking Bad", the character then moved on to his own show, "Better Call Saul".

The character's "real" name on both shows is Jimmy McGill, and he's a lawyer with questionable ethics. He adopts the name "Saul Goodman" as a contraction of one of his catch phrases, "It's all good, man,"

Nice Anti-semitic comment ..... definitely hedge fund lackey or corporate bottom dweller trying to ease the case against Lowes. It's all about money folks, billions. Do not expect this group of thugs to play fair. They didn't raid the company to have you, the lowly employee stand in their way. Anyone ask themselves what any of this has to do with better serving the home improvement retail industry?

Show of hands. Corporate shill trying to deflect legal action. Lowes can't do the right thing so they lie, make up posts, monitor your social media, manipulate the press. Why? There is a whole big story and the last thing Lowes wants is a discovery process out of their control. Everyone affected by this money grab (note not one solid change based on expenditure that is real, concrete and quantifiable) needs to

move foward with regulatory and legal representation. Stay tuned for the info and process to help you do this! Let's unite and fight!
