Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

When will layoffs start?

When can we expect layoffs to start happening? Anybody has any info?

I'm assuming it'll take at least a week or two for things to settle down and for the upper management to formulate a plan (which we all know will focus primarily on cutting as many people as they can.) After that, I assume all bets are off.

Given that in it's Q3 report last year WIN had $37mil cash on hand, they won't be paying anyone anytime soon. They don't have enough cash to cover the legal fees... they will have to appeal, which will take a while, but in the meantime they've basically defaulted on all their other debt issues to the tune of +$5 Billion.

Get out while you can. There will be no more raises, promotions, or anything of the sort. You're in a dead end.

Any NOCs expected to be hit harder? Charlotte, Greenville, Rochester? Or just across the board gutted.

I heard the same. I think what I heard was regarding whether to appeal or pay the money.

I heard a plan will be in place within ten days. Seriously. I’m not sure the plan though.
