Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Nothing yet

Well, Friday is done, Monday has started and still no layoffs, no major restructurings. I'm starting to believe that we fell prey to alarmists who were guessing that we were looking at another Valentine's Day culling as opposed to actually having any concrete info about it.

I'm not going to relax just yet, but I'm not as certain as I was last week that something big is coming.

Hey OP

You’re right - I think they’re going to add 800 million worth of jobs. The statement around 800 million in severance this year was a typo... they clearly meant 800 million in additional bonuses for NAN, IT and R&D

Hey OP, do you really do not see FLNA taking over Quaker as something that's truly as 'restructuring'

They will complete it before raises are to go in effect

@XGICfoU have you even bothered reading the other recent threads here before sharing your baseless opinion? Did you guys not get the e-mail from Kirk about the new field structure--4 regions, not 8. Trop and Naked going to NAB, Quaker going to FLNA? No major restructurings? Youre either a troll or completely clueless.

Today is not a holiday at FLNA HQ. Some were notified last week, others are being told this week. Just waiting to get the announcement that the building will be closed on Friday.

I know of around 1 dozen peeps who are gone through the organization and it happened on Friday .

If you don’t know who’s gone you’re probably safe as it’s HQ With NAN and Quaker to get eliminated tomorrow. Integrating trop and Gatorade to GTM is only chance to keep your job

PepsiCo is known for beginning layoffs Tuesday for corporate locations/jobs. In addition, it's typically after earnings call, which was Friday.

@XGICfoU

It is most definitely happening and started on Friday in NAB (NY and field).

It's easy to be an alarmist when they set aside a ton of money ear marked for severance.

I doubt this is over.

$2.5B in severance packages might be a subtle clue someone is being let go; "PEP said today it expects to incur ~$2.5B in pretax restructuring charges through 2023, mostly from severance and other employee costs; the company's FY 2018 results included $138M of restructuring costs, and it expects to incur $800M in related charges during the current year."
