Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

FLNA Update

I’m so proud of the progress we’ve made to reduce complexity across our organization, and find a better way in everything that we do. But we must continue to embrace change to enable future growth. Beginning today, we are taking immediate actions to create a more aligned field organization to deliver consistency, increase collaboration and streamline decision-making across our Sales and Supply Chain organizations. I’ll share more about the changes we’re making at the FLNA Town Hall on Monday, Feb. 25.

Additionally, I’m pleased to share Quaker Foods & Snacks will now report into Frito-Lay North America. While Quaker will operate largely as an independent business unit based in Chicago, the move will strengthen Quaker’s distribution and broaden our portfolio with a range of snacks and foods consumers desire. Please join me in welcoming Quaker to the Frito-Lay North America team.

Hard to believe current RnD leadership on future structure. They screwed it up years ago when they restructured to support global over regional. MK didn’t align the plan companywide and the rest of the business didn’t follow. RnD has been undoing their mistake now through multiple years of lay-offs and location closings. Of course, it’s been camouflaged as transforming for growth or any number of buzzword phrases.

Smart leadership matters. Unfortunately, the ones at the top who make the mistakes will leave with golden parachutes while the others suffer.

RnD bigboss says they will not change the 3 category structure. Not sure how long they can hold on when the business is now oriented as snacks and beverages. Lots of R&D jobs have to go as it seems.
