That's sad to hear about the GES layoffs. I was on that project for several years out of college. Hope you all know your value and don't let this get you down!
The two B1's were GES and Transportation. The L11's were GES and Supply Chain engineering.
Bonus or LTI-eligible employees typically don’t get to keep any remaining unvested bonuses or LTI’s.
Correcting another person’s comment, the list is provided to any associate over 40 (not 50) as employees over 40 are part of a “protected class” - ha! It shows the level and ages of all employees (without names) affected & not affected in your work function. It’s supposed to prove that age discrimination isn’t taking place. Basically, they’ll pick one or two younger employees at each level to lay off along with a long list of employees who are between 50 and 55 and still pension eligible. If they included race and gender, you’d also quickly see that 80+% of the lay-offs are white men as part of the company diversity initiative.
For the person who said 2 B1's and 2 L11's were let go at FL Plano, would you mind sharing the function? Was is Marketing, HR, Finance, Supply Chain, etc?
Two B1's and two L11's at FLNA Plano - not sure if continues next week. I am a B1 with 16 years so not if - when.
How would they ever know?
I was one of the folks affected last year. We had a list of people “over 50 not 40 as mentioned above” with no names just titles. It was part of the severance package paperwork. You are not alllwed to share that list or you break the terms of your severance and lose it completely.
If you are over 40, they are required to provide the list on comparators for your individual situation. It’s an attachment to the severance agreement. That list is only the group of people considered, their title and age only. This list could vary greatly depending on how the position was selected for elimination. They are typically the same grade, but may be in different locations.
You are correct no “names” are shared only position & age
My friend who was laid off last year said that her packet contained statistics of how many employees of each age would be laid off and not their actual names to avoid accusations of ageism. I didn’t think they would share actual names but maybe that has changed.
Replying to 1-tiv
The “list” is in the hands of the employees let go... and it is “confidential” ~ if it is shared that employee will lose their severance...
So don’t count on seeing it.
Just started. Will be over Thursday noon on east coast.
Do you know for a fact that corporate layoffs are finished?
HQ (i.e. the Sector) layoffs took place Friday. Severance is pretty typical - two weeks for every year of service. Bonus eligible employees will receive their bonuses. More layoffs next week - out in the field - as the new Division structure is rolled out.
At least 5 admins in White Plains were laid off on Friday. Those are just the ones i know personally.
Where is this list??
In the past the listing only included employees impacted. Employees who didn’t get laid off are not included. This is required due to age discrimination. The list would NEVER include all NAB emoloyess.
I only know one person (personally) that got laid off today out of White Plains. Apparently there is a list that shows all NAB employees by title and age. And it says if they are effectd or not effected. Seems pretty c-appy. I heard 6 months to a year of severance is being given. More layoffs are coming next week.
Why would anyone downvote this question? We all want to know!
