HR called me last night at 7:30 and told me to come in the office for a meeting at 11AM. I asked her if I was getting fired but she couldn’t say. Obviously I couldn’t sleep at all last night. Why would they call me and not just do it when I’m in the office on Tuesday?

The post sounds spot on to me. A colleague told me that our HR person's calendar was booked until late into the evening yesterday. Now I see why.

Word of advise for everyone. Document everything that is said to you. Don't be bullied by their scripted talk. Ask straight forward questions and insist on straight forward questions. God bless you all and know that you will come out better working somewhere else. PepsiCo has become a ugly and toxic place to be.
After 35 years I got the same call in 2010. I started there right out of high school. It's a strange feeling that really never goes away. Good luck to you.

Simple, he wants to enjoy their long weekend. I worked with them for 35 years and all they care about is their agenda and lives. They could be replaced by A I tomorrow.
