Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

GO SABRE !!! VCP BONUS UP TO 130% !!!

Great performance for company in 2018 overall. My mgr said execs have kicked around numbers up to 130% for VCP based on the profit goals we set, just need to see what board approves. Very exciting!

So they outright lied to us? Said if company exceeds these targets we get extra VCP, and the company far exceeded those targets bust most people still didn't see near 100% That is BULL. Everyone should go on Glassdoor and leave reviews so future employees are not tricked into believing this.

I performed well had a satisfactory rating still barely got 80%> how is it possible when we beat targets by so much. They are liars

VCP is a JOKE! Stands for Very Cooperative Peon. Heads down and don't question - you'll get VCP, when you care about the company and question (something that's just plain wrong) then no VCP for you! Entire "bonus" policy is one sided. Reviews are a joke. Few managers are qualified to be in their position.

Entire company needs to be "revamped" by a 3rd party, someone that can peel the layers back and see what's really going on.

How VCP is awarded has always been a joke, in MANY cases the SVP of each area has made managers not award 10% of their Team's allotment so they can award their pets more. This practice has been used a lot and the average employee will always lose.

There's a growing group of employees signing onto an open letter that will be posted online and sent directly to the board and major institutional investors about this.

can someone link to where it shows what our estimates were for revenue and EPS? i see the report of what they ended up being but not what the target was to begin with.

just for grins i just went and looked up to see if there are any public documents that say what the executives make. sean got almost $7 MILLION in 2017, not sure about last year, but that included $1 million in incentive/bonus pay. they throw money all over the place except to the people who help them earn it.

We beat our financial goals but vcp is funded at 100%. That's BS. And yes rating of HS or O may get 130% or higher

Is anyone surprised? Did you really think a new eTeam was going to change anything? Shareholders demand returns and the Board is going to make sure that happens. It's easy math. Investors are fickle and employees are not, and Sabre needs their cash more than any one of our time/work. Nobody is going to quit over only getting a 10% bonus instead of a 15% bonus so we are going to be the ones who get the table sc-aps. It's not that unreasonable given that we are the lowest on the totem pole.

are you kidding me? that sounds like a surefire way to lose all employee buy-in and get those of us who stuck it out through the BS looking for new jobs. bonus is not supposed to be a moving target that the better the company performs the harder it is to get. that's the whole point, to get better results. why would anyone work hard throughout the year if the company is just going to move the goalposts at the end of the year? i have been here though so many leaders and strategic shifts but this would be the ultimate FU.

Ha, I actually came here this morning just to see if anyone was talking about VCP. Unfortunately you are wrong. There is not and has never been any discussion of funding at this level. You can expect a fully funded VCP but employees are not going to get tens of millions in bonuses when the company ultimately missed its revenue targets. (Disregard if you are SVP or above; the Executive Incentive Plan is going to be far more generous this year.)

You may say that's b---s--- because the targets kept getting adjusted throughout the year to account for our strong performance as a company. How is it fair to use that for VCP when we were busting our asses all year to make that happen? But that's life. VCP is entirely at the eTeam's discretion; they don't have to pay any of it if they don't want to.

HR propoganda. Only the SVP buddies will see those numbers and the rest of us will have VCP payout reduced to accomodate that fact.
